DEEP IN THE WOODS

I am at my family’s cabin writing and recording songs for my two upcoming albums. I shower outdoors and catch my own fish for dinner. It’s very quiet – it’s only me deep in the woods in the middle of Norway. The songs are all coming together very nicely… Best, -ropo Photos from my Instagram

Norwegian streaming service WIMP has exclusively made available The Shins’ new album. So I thought I’d have a listen. I am disappointed. Should I deepen my thoughts? I just think it’s too much focus on the production and not so many good songs. Sounds like they’ve had comfortable chairs sitting around the studio making high-fives
